MobilePay is outshining the Bluetooth technology
MobilePay has phased out the Bluetooth technology BLE for physical stores in connection with a change of strategy. Instead, MobilePay has switched to using only QR codes, which customers have to scan with their phones. From 1 July 2021, it has thus not been possible for physical stores to offer customers MobilePay as before unless they have upgraded to completely new payment terminals, where the QR code is shown digitally on display. If you do not have immediate plans to upgrade your payment terminals, continue reading to find out how you can continue offering your customers payment via MobilePay.
How to proceed with MobilePay
- You need to get MobilePay stickers with QR codes
- You must be on a 52RETAIL version 55 as your current POS solution
Fiftytwo supports the MobilePay V10 API, which registers a local QR code displayed at each checkout terminal with a graphic sticker. This solution is independent of the payment terminal and requires separate maintenance.
License price per. terminal: DKK 250 + 15% in annual maintenance.
